Shaping Future Real Estate Edgeprop Excellence Awards 2025 Submissions Begin

EdgeProp Singapore recently unveiled the details for the 2025 EdgeProp Excellence Awards (EPEA) during a submissions workshop held on March 21. Attendees included representatives from 20 leading real estate developers who received an overview of the submission process and award categories.

Since its inception in 2017, the EPEA has recognized and celebrated property developers and their developments that set the standard of excellence in Singapore’s real estate industry. This year’s theme, “Spaces to Places,” puts the spotlight on the need for purposeful, value-driven developments in our land-scarce country. Jacqie Thio, marketing manager at EdgeProp Singapore and host of the workshop, explains, “These developments should not only serve their function, but also foster a sense of community and belonging.”

The award categories cover four key areas – Design Excellence, Innovation Excellence, Sustainability Excellence, and Marketing Excellence.

Eligibility criteria were also outlined during the workshop for the 2025 EPEA Awards. Residential projects that received their Temporary Occupation Permit (TOP) between January 1, 2023, and May 31, 2025, as well as unfinished projects with the first caveat lodged between January 1, 2024, and May 31, 2025, are eligible to participate. Additionally, operational hotels and co-living spaces in 2025, commercial (retail and office) and industrial projects completed between January 1, 2022, and December 31, 2029, can also be considered.

Sustainability is a major focus of the 2025 EPEA Awards and the Sustainability Excellence Award, presented by CPG Corporation, the official knowledge and judging partner for the awards. According to Gavin Chan, Head of Sustainability at CPG Corporation, buildings account for 25% of Singapore’s carbon emissions, making sustainability a top priority in the real estate sector. The award recognizes developments with strong sustainability performance, top-tier Green Mark certification, and eligibility for green financing schemes. Criteria for scoring include energy efficiency, whole life carbon, health and well-being, resilience, intelligence, and maintainability.

As the main sponsor of the 2025 EPEA Awards, Swiss premium appliance brand V-ZUG also shared its commitment to sustainability. The company has been carbon-neutral since 2020 and continues to advance its efforts through various initiatives, including planting trees annually in Scotland, resulting in the planting of over one million trees to date.

“At V-ZUG, we strongly believe in the combination of luxury and responsibility,” said Angeline Yap, Managing Director of V-ZUG Southeast Asia.
