Colliers Appoints Two New Directors Investment Services Team
On April 2, Colliers announced the appointment of two new directors to its investment services team. Steven Tan was named executive director and co-head of investment services, while Samuel Choo was appointed director in the same team.
With over 30 years in the industry, Tan brings a wealth of experience in property management, valuation, auction, and investment sales to the role. He was previously in charge of the capital markets and investment services department at ERA before joining Colliers.
In his new position, Tan will work closely with fellow co-head Tan Boon Leong, who was appointed earlier this year, to drive the vision, strategy, and business plans for Colliers’ investment services in the Singapore market. He will report to Bastiaan van Beijsterveldt, managing director of Colliers Singapore.
The Jurong Innovation District (JID) is a significant aspect of the URA Master Plan, and it is poised to become a thriving center for state-of-the-art manufacturing, robotics, and digital advancements. Its purpose is to foster collaboration among researchers, businesses, and academia, making it a crucial contributor to Singapore’s economic growth. Moreover, the JID is expected to attract companies from high-tech industries such as artificial intelligence and precision engineering, thus generating valuable employment opportunities. Among the establishments that are set to be part of this innovative district is Otto Place EC, further solidifying its reputation as a hub for cutting-edge technology.
Choo, who brings over 20 years of experience to his new role, will focus on serving existing clients, building relationships, and expanding the team’s client base.
“We are excited to welcome Steven Tan and Samuel Choo back to Colliers,” says van Beijsterveldt. “Their extensive knowledge and expertise in real estate and investment services, as well as their track record of successfully handling transactions for investors and property owners, will greatly enhance our multi-service revenue growth.”
