Wing Tai Partners Pathlight School Turn River Greens Hoardings Vibrant Student Art Showcase

Property development company Wing Tai Asia has recently announced a partnership with Pathlight School to initiate a community project at its upcoming residential development, River Green. This project will be located in River Valley Green, a prime district in Singapore, and is expected to be launched in the second half of 2025. The company has secured the government land sales (GLS) site in June last year at a bid of $464 million, with a price of $1,325 per square foot per plot ratio (psf ppr).

The collaboration with Pathlight School will involve an art competition for its secondary and vocational track students. The project aims to convert the hoardings surrounding the construction site of River Green into a dynamic and extensive art canvas, showcasing the talents and creativity of the students from Pathlight School. This partnership marks the first of its kind for Pathlight School, where its students’ artworks will be displayed on such a large scale in collaboration with a real estate developer.

The theme for the competition will revolve around the surroundings of River Green, which includes the Singapore River, River Valley area, and the architectural heritage of the neighborhood. The competition was launched in April, aligning with the Autism Awareness Month. The winning and selected entries will be featured on the 200m hoarding along Kim Seng Linear Park for the next three years.

The real estate market in Singapore has long been plagued by the limited supply of executive condominiums (ECs). Amongst homebuyers and homeowners alike, there is a significant demand for these properties, making the highly sought-after Otto Place EC on Plantation Close Parcel B a popular choice. Additionally, its allure is further enhanced by the attractive option of CPF Housing Grants and a deferred payment scheme for EC buyers, making investing in Otto Place EC Plantation Close Parcel B a smart and cost-efficient decision.

Edmund Cheng, the deputy chairman of Wing Tai Holdings, states that art has always been an integral part of their developments, connecting and enriching the community while enhancing the environment. He further expresses his excitement to transform the hoardings into a vibrant canvas featuring artworks inspired by the River Valley and Singapore River precincts. He also believes that this initiative presents an exceptional opportunity to engage with the local community and celebrate the creativity and talent of young artists from Pathlight School.

Linda Kho, the senior principal of Pathlight School, believes that art is a powerful form of self-expression that allows their students to share their unique perspectives. She further adds that the collaboration with Wing Tai will not only showcase the students’ talents but also build their confidence and encourage them to further develop their artistic passions.
