Uol Hilton Sign Deal First Nomad Hotel Apac Former Faber House Site
UOL Group and Hilton have announced a partnership to bring the first NoMad Hotel to Asia Pacific. The 173-room luxury hotel will be located at the former Faber House on Orchard Road and is expected to open in early 2027.
The former eight-storey commercial building, situated across the road from 313@somerset, will be redeveloped into a 19-storey hotel under the Urban Redevelopment Authority’s Strategic Development Initiative (SDI) scheme. In addition to the hotel, the development will include commercial and retail space.
Designed by renowned architecture firm WOHA, the hotel will feature a unique biophilic design, with a 15-storey waterfall and a lush vertical landscape set into the façade. The third level will house an “urban verandah” which will serve as a public space for art and design programming, as well as facilitate future connections to surrounding developments.
Other standout features of the hotel include a lobby on the fifth level with a sky terrace, as well as an infinity terrace pool overlooking Orchard Road. On the rooftop, there will be a bar and restaurant offering stunning views of the city.
“We are thrilled to introduce the NoMad brand to Singapore as part of our placemaking vision for Orchard Road,” says Liam Wee Sin, UOL’s chief executive. This hotel will complete a trio of developments by UOL on Orchard Road, alongside their upcoming luxury residential project, UpperHouse at Orchard Boulevard, and the award-winning Pan Pacific Orchard.

NoMad is a luxury lifestyle hotel brand with a focus on sophisticated design, world-class dining, and immersive cultural programming. The brand is owned by US hospitality company Sydell Group, which was acquired by Hilton last year. Currently, NoMad has one flagship location in London, with plans to expand globally.
According to Alan Watts, President for Asia Pacific at Hilton, the demand for high-end, experience-driven stays in the region is on the rise. He believes Singapore, as the luxury gateway of Asia, is the perfect location for the debut of NoMad, with plans to expand to other cities in the region in the future.
Andrew Zobler, founder and CEO of Sydell Group, is also excited about the brand’s debut in Singapore, and promises more locations to come. He reveals that the brand is actively exploring opportunities in North America, Europe, and other regions.
